Can be bought fresh in blocks or dried in granules. Only buy fresh yeast that is creamy in colour and smells sweet. Dried yeast comes as instant granules or sachets that need to be dissolved in water before being added to recipes.
To Store:
Store fresh yeast unwrapped in a jar in the fridge for a fortnight. Dried yeast needs to be stored in the fridge also.
